I’m a nuclear engineering student and I’d like to get involved with ANS. What should I do? 1. First, come to the next ANS meeting and introduce yourself! Even if you’re a freshmen or sophomore who’s not taking nuclear courses, coming to the ANS meetings is a great way to learn about the department, ANS activities, and meet upperclassmen. I’m doing nuclear engineering, but I’m more interested in medical physics, what now? 1. All of the medical physics students in addition to joining UF ANS also join UF Society of Health and Medical Physics or SHMPS.
